Programmes of Study and Entitlement
AS and A2 level
Most students will be expected to study four AS levels in Year 12 and to take an examination in each of them at the end of Year 12. Some students will be allowed to take only three subjects if this is considered more suitable for the individual concerned. In Year 13, most students will continue with three of the four subjects, taking them to full A level. Certain students will be allowed to continue with four subjects. In addition, all students will take General Studies at AS and A2 level, and some may also take Critical Thinking at AS level.The following subjects are available at AS and A2.

Most AS and A2 courses are modular. Three modules are examined in Year 12 and three in Year 13. In many subjects the modular exam will be taken as follows:
January - 1 module
June - 2 modules. AS completed.
Work on A2 modules will start in July
January - 1 module
June - 2 modules. A2 completed.
