Partial School Closure: 24th April 2008

You will probably be aware that the National Union of Teachers is taking industrial action on Thursday 24 April. The forthcoming two weeks holiday makes it difficult to plan alternative arrangements for pupils during the course of that day.

However, I can let you know that pupils in Y7, 8 & 10 are to remain at home on 24 April but pupils in Y9, 11, 12 & 13 are to attend as usual.  Most lessons will take place as normal for Y9, 11, 12 & 13 in preparation for the vital, forthcoming SATs, GCSEs and A levels.  In a few lessons, supported study sessions will occur for a small number of Y9 pupils, but much of our revision programme will continue as normal at this very important time of the school year.  If you are parents of Y9, 11, 12 & 13 pupils I would ask you to do your utmost to ensure your son or daughter attends school as usual on 24 April.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any queries or concerns.
