Mrs Gardner and Year 7 are introduced to the work of the Salvation Army by Captain Huggins.

Captain Huggins visited 2 Year 7 classess on the 10th and 11th October to discuss religion in the community. Captain Huggins, based in the Barton Area discussed the work he and his wife do and the history of the Salvation Army. Pupils had prepared some questions for the Captain ranging from the symbolism of uniform to the affect being part of a religion has on the individual and their family. Captain Huggins was particularly impressed with pupil behaviour and commented many times on how the children spoke with respect and consideration.  The experince was enjoyed by all and hopefully this will begin a bond between the church and Baysgarth school. Mrs Gardner would like to thank Captain Huggins for his work and excellent presentation!
