As part of our work to encourage, wherever possible, pupils to cycle or walk to school in developing a healthy lifestyle, we have just opened a brand new bike shelter.

31st Mar 2010 - Goodbye Mr Mawhinney

Mr Mawhinney leaves us at the end of term.

14th Jan 2010 - North Lincolnshire Skills Centre

This centre is now being built on the far end of our site, near to Oak Drive.

Baysgarth School's new MUGA opened by North Lincolnshire's Mayor and Great Britain sporting champions.

Following the recent requests for nominations 2 new governors are elected.

4th Apr 2008 - Diary Dates

We finish for the end of the Spring Term on Friday April 4th and pupils return for the start of the Summer Term on Tuesday April 22nd.

4th Apr 2008 - Partial School Closure: 24th April 2008

You will probably be aware that the National Union of Teachers is taking industrial action on Thursday 24 April. The forthcoming two weeks holiday makes it difficult to plan alternative arrangements for pupils during the course of that day.

3rd Apr 2008 - Revision Sessions

Revision sessions for Y9 and Y11 pupils in preparation for the SATs and GCSE exams respectively have already been posted home.

3rd Apr 2008 - Spring Term Newsletter

With the Easter festival having been so early this year it seems a little strange writing this newsletter for the end of term, and start of the holidays, almost two weeks after the event. However, a few items to keep you up to date.

This been a topic of discussion for some time within school and we are now able to give you more details following consultations with pupils on the School Council. The only proposed change to the school’s uniform is the type and colour of the shirt to be worn during the summer term. All other aspects of the school’s uniform remain unchanged.

3rd Apr 2008 - Rock Challenge: "In These Shoes"

The school takes part in the regional heats again at the Grimsby Auditorium on Monday April 21st with their 70s version of the Cinderella story.

Thank you to those who expressed their views, which were shared with governors on 26.2.08 and will be further considered at a meeting of the Choices sub-committee on 10.3.08. Parents will be informed of the outcome of these discussions after this date.

Mr Sprakes crowned Sumo King on Wednesday 18th December.

Baysgarth School was presented with the FA Charter Standard award for football this weekend.

5th Apr 2006 - Year 7 football team makes the North Lincolnshire schools cup semifinal

The Year 7 football team were narrowly defeated 3-1 by Frederick Gough school in the North Lincolnshire cup semi final recently.
